Message from the President

I’m Dave Elliott, President of GOOD NEWS.

I’d like to explain how I’m qualified to help you solve your personnel and management issues.

I’ve spent my entire career in the newspaper and communications business, going all the way back to an afternoon paper route for a small daily in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.

From there, I worked my way through college at Shippensburg (PA) University as a Sports Writer for this same daily. After earning my Communications/Journalism degree from Shippensburg, I was hired as a Sports Writer with The Herald-Mail Company in Hagerstown, MD, where I currently reside.

At The Herald-Mail, a Schurz Communications paper, I went on to develop several TMC products, then served 15 years as Vice President of Human Resources. Subsequently, I served as Vice President of Product Development, creating numerous new and innovative revenue streams for the company. During this time, I also went back to school to earn an MBA from Frostburg State (MD) University.

Over the years, I’ve interviewed thousands of candidates, and have put together an instructional CD to assist those seeking employment. I’ve also done corporate training throughout the country.

Most importantly, I pride myself on the highest level of integrity, and a strong desire to help others meet their needs. I’d be honored to work with you on finding the right individuals for the positions you need to fill.
